Terms of Service
Welcome to BTR Exchange. By accessing or using btr.ro, you agree to comply with and be bound by these terms. These terms describe the public reference tools, editorial pages, acceptable use boundaries, correction process, and advertising/privacy separation used across BTR.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By using this website, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please refrain from using the website.
2. Reference data and provider quotes
BTR Exchange publishes market-reference conversion tools, editorial guides, glossary definitions, and fee/spread calculators for planning and comparison. BTR does not provide executable quotes, does not execute transactions, does not hold funds, and does not set the settlement terms used by banks, brokers, card issuers, transfer providers, exchanges, wallets, or precious-metal dealers.
A provider quote can differ from a BTR reference because of spread, fixed fees, percentage fees, settlement timing, account tier, card-network rules, weekend markup, cash availability, crypto network fees, dealer premiums, or product-specific conditions. Before acting, verify the final amount and terms with the provider that will handle the transaction. Read the rate methodology and editorial standards for source, fallback, and limitation details.
3. Acceptable use and API boundaries
The public website is intended for ordinary visitor use, manual comparison, and reasonable crawler access to public pages. Automated scraping, bulk extraction, resale of page content, attempts to bypass rate limits, or use that interferes with the website's security or infrastructure are not allowed.
BTR public APIs are intentionally restricted to protect provider quotas and avoid unsupported integration obligations. Disabled API routes may return 403 public_api_disabled. Do not build production applications, trading systems, alerting systems, or latency-sensitive workflows that depend on unavailable public API access or unauthenticated scraping of rendered pages.
Prohibited activities include:
- Automated scraping of financial data without written consent.
- Attempting to interfere with the website's security or infrastructure.
- Using the data for high-frequency trading applications where latency could cause financial loss.
4. Financial Disclaimer
Data is provided for informational purposes only.
BTR Exchange is not a financial advisor, broker, bank, transfer provider, or exchange. The exchange rates and market data provided are sourced from third-party market data providers, cache layers, and fallback behavior, and may experience delays or inaccuracies. We do not guarantee the accuracy of any rate shown or any final provider settlement amount. Consult a qualified financial professional before making significant investment, tax, accounting, or exchange decisions.
5. Reader responsibility and third-party providers
Your final quote is controlled by the provider you choose. BTR can help you compare reference rates, fee examples, and editorial explanations, but you are responsible for checking the provider's final screen, contract, receipt, trade confirmation, wallet transaction, transfer quote, or dealer invoice before acting.
No account relationship. Using BTR does not create a customer, advisory, brokerage, banking, exchange, wallet, transfer, payment, dealer, fiduciary, agency, or support relationship between you and BTR.
Third-party provider responsibility. BTR cannot open, manage, freeze, settle, reverse, refund, or recover any third-party account, transfer, card payment, exchange order, wallet transaction, or metal purchase. Provider disputes, account access, payment reversals, transfer errors, wallet recovery, tax questions, legal questions, and regulated financial advice must be handled by the responsible provider or qualified professional.
6. Terms evidence checklist
Keep the page URL, reference purpose, provider quote source, final provider record, correction request, privacy choice, and disputed third-party record in one terms note. This makes it easier to separate what BTR published from what a bank, card issuer, transfer provider, exchange, wallet, broker, or dealer actually offered or settled.
- Reference-use record: save the BTR page URL, amount, currency pair, timestamp, and whether the page was used for planning, reimbursement, invoice context, travel budgeting, or provider comparison.
- Provider-dispute boundary: keep account records, receipts, chargebacks, wallet transactions, transfer confirmations, and dealer invoices with the responsible provider instead of treating BTR as a dispute or recovery channel.
- Advertising and correction separation: note that privacy choices, ad review status, affiliate labels, or future sponsorships do not change methodology wording, correction priority, provider responsibility, or reader evidence requirements.
7. Reader responsibility record
Keep the page URL, reference purpose, provider quote source, final provider record, privacy choice, correction request, and third-party dispute reference in one reader responsibility record. This keeps BTR's public reference role separate from private provider obligations.
- Reference-purpose check: Record why you used a BTR page: travel estimate, invoice context, reimbursement note, card-charge review, transfer comparison, wallet withdrawal, metals quote check, or glossary clarification. The reference purpose decides which provider record you need next.
- Provider-control boundary: Provider terms control final quotes, account access, settlement, refunds, reversals, chargebacks, delivery, custody, and support-case outcomes. Keep those private records separate from BTR public examples and correction routes.
- Dispute evidence boundary: If a third-party dispute exists, keep the dispute reference with the final provider record and send BTR only the public page issue that needs correction. Do not send full account numbers, card numbers, wallet secrets, identity documents, or unredacted provider screenshots.
8. Review-mode terms buffer
Keep the public page promise, unsupported provider request, ad review status, correction route, privacy choice, and reader responsibility boundary in one review-mode terms buffer. This makes the terms page useful during publisher review without turning it into provider support, account support, or financial advice.
- Public-page promise: The terms page promises only public reference tools, editorial explanations, correction routes, privacy choices, and restricted API boundaries. It does not promise a provider account, quote reservation, transaction support, or dispute handling.
- Unsupported-provider request: If a reader needs a refund, chargeback, transfer reversal, frozen-account review, wallet recovery, identity check, tax opinion, or legal answer, the correct route is the responsible provider or qualified professional rather than BTR.
- AdSense separation note: AdSense review code, future ad units, or future referral labels must stay separate from correction priority, methodology wording, reader responsibility, and provider-quote boundaries.
9. Corrections and content updates
Readers can report unclear guide text, stale examples, broken links, rate-display issues, privacy questions, or methodology concerns through the contact page. Public-facing content updates and correction categories are described on the corrections and content updates page.
BTR may update pages when provider behavior, calculation wording, review boundaries, privacy disclosures, or public navigation changes. Corrections are prioritized when they affect how readers understand reference rates, provider quotes, fees, limitations, or privacy choices.
10. Advertising, referrals, and privacy choices
BTR may include Google AdSense code for review and may later show ads after approval. This monetization setup does not change correction priority, rate methodology, guide conclusions, privacy handling, or whether a reader-reported issue is fixed.
Privacy choices for Google services are handled separately from editorial content. The Privacy Policy explains Google AdSense, Analytics, cookies, partner-site disclosures, and contact-form data handling.
11. Intellectual Property
The design, logos, custom code, guide copy, glossary definitions, and calculator explanations of BTR Exchange are the intellectual property of our team unless otherwise noted. Financial data remains the property of its respective originators.
12. Limitation of Liability
BTR Exchange shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from the use or inability to use the website, or from any data errors, omissions, provider delays, calculation misunderstandings, third-party quotes, privacy choices, or external service behavior.
13. Changes to Terms
We may modify these terms when product behavior, data handling, public APIs, privacy practices, advertising setup, or correction workflows change. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
